The meeting was called to order by Pam Clark, President.
Present Board of Directors were introduced for the benefit of first-time attendees.
Treasurer's report was given: $3418.69.
Pam reported that a consultant has been engaged to assist in creating a 501c3 organization that will replace the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the Infusion Nurses Society when the Infusion Nurses Society dissolves the local chapter on December 31, 2026. Based on member voting, the name of the new entity will be Infusion Nurses Association. Money in the treasury will be used for the purpose of creating this 501c3 and changing the chapter website name/URL.
It was announced that since the Infusion Nurses Association will not be affiliated with an ANCC recognized organization, career ladder certificates of membership and certificates of attendance will no longer be distributed.
Industry partners have all indicated that they will support the new entity by continuing to sponsor organization meetings.
It was asked as to whether anyone in attendance was looking for a job or had a job to offer. Sydney Baskinger announced that Vital Care of Houston is looking for a prn infusion nurse to work in the Richmond office. The company will be opening offices in The Heights, Cypress, and The Woodlands in the future.
Robert Rambeau, with TG Therapeutics, was introduced as the sponsor of this meeting. He introduced the speakers who presented information about Briumvi for Multiple Sclerosis.
The meeting was ajourned.
